About us

Software you bought should keep working

Flomoji is one developer building one desktop tool properly: turning a recording you already made into an edited video, on your own machine, and without depending on us being online to do it.

What we hold to

Three decisions the whole product follows from

A licence server must not be able to strand you

Your licence is verified on your own machine against a cryptographic signature, with a fortnight of grace when we cannot be reached. Our servers going down — or going away entirely — does not stop you working.

We do not need to know what you save

The app never sends us the addresses you visit or anything about the files you save; addresses are redacted even from its own local logs. Licensing requests carry a key and a device identifier because that is all the API accepts.

The work belongs on your computer

No upload step, no queue on someone else's server, no file-size ceiling but your own disk. That is also the cheapest privacy guarantee there is: a file that never leaves cannot leak.

The hard part of short-form video was never the recording. It is the hour of editing afterwards — the cutaways, the reactions, the sound design — repeated for every single post.

Why we built it

We wanted the part that is genuinely mechanical — finding the emotional beat of a line, cutting to something visual, landing a sound effect on the right syllable — done automatically, and the part that is genuinely yours left entirely under your control. On the desktop, rendering on your own hardware.

Most of what exists is either a website that uploads your footage to a stranger's render farm and stamps a watermark on the way out, or a desktop app that treats a subscription as the product and the editor as the excuse. Neither is what we wanted to use.

What we do differently about renewals

Renewing extends the licence you already hold. The same key, the same activated devices, nothing to copy and paste again. And when a licence does lapse, the app drops to the free tier rather than locking — taking the whole product away from someone who paid last year is how you lose the renewal as well as the goodwill.

Buy the lifetime licence and there is no stored card, no renewal date and nothing that charges automatically — you paid once and that is the end of it. The monthly plan exists for people who would rather not pay $67 up front, and it can be cancelled from your account in one click. Either way the software you installed still opens.

Using it responsibly

This is a general-purpose tool, and what it is used on is the user's decision and the user's responsibility. Our licence agreement asks you to hold the rights, or the permission, for anything you save with it: your own content, openly licensed and public-domain work, or material you have been given permission to keep offline.

If you are not sure whether you may save something, the answer is that you should not until you are.

Talking to us

We are small and we answer our own support. If something is broken, unclear or missing, write to us or email hussainimukhtar323@gmail.com. A real person reads it, and usually replies within one business day.

See whether it suits you

The free tier is not a trial that expires. Use it, and buy a licence only if the ceiling starts getting in your way.
