This agreement is between you and Flomoji and covers your use of the software. Installing or using the software means you accept it.
What you get
A non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on the number of devices your plan allows, for as long as your licence is valid.
You own your licence key; you do not own the software. It is licensed, not sold.
What you may do
- Install and use it on up to the number of devices your plan allows
- Use it for personal or business purposes
- Move it between your own machines, within the device changes your plan allows
What you may not do
- Share, publish, resell or sub-licence your key
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software, except where the law
expressly permits it regardless of this agreement
- Remove or alter any notices in it
- Bypass, disable or interfere with licensing
Acceptable use — content and rights
This is the important part, and it is your responsibility.
This software is a tool for editing video footage you are entitled to use. That includes:
- Footage you recorded or own
- Content published under a licence that permits it, such as Creative Commons
- Public domain material
- Content you have been given permission to edit and publish
The stock imagery and sound effects the software draws on are openly licensed for this purpose. You must not use the software on footage where you do not hold the rights or the permission to do so, or to create material that impersonates a real person, or where doing so would break the law where you are.
You are solely responsible for what you use this software on, and for making sure it is lawful where you are. We provide a general-purpose tool; we do not monitor, control or endorse what any individual does with it, and we accept no responsibility for it.
If you are not sure whether you may publish a particular piece of content, the answer is that you should not until you are.
Your licence key
Your key identifies you. Sharing it is the fastest way to lose it: keys found in public, or in use on far more machines than a plan allows, are revoked.
The software verifies your licence on your own machine against a signed token, so it keeps working without a connection. It checks in periodically to refresh that token.
Updates
Updates are included while your licence is valid. We may change or remove features. Where a change is significant we will say so in the release notes.
Ending this agreement
Your licence ends if it expires and you do not renew, or if you break this agreement. When it ends you must stop using the software.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid for your licence, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.
