We take copyright seriously, and we want to be straightforward about what this software is.
What this software is
A general-purpose video editing tool. It takes footage its user recorded and assembles an edited version of it — adding avatar reactions, openly licensed b-roll and sound effects, and captions — then renders the result on the user's own machine.
It is comparable to a video editor or a media player — general-purpose software with substantial legitimate uses.
What we ask of our users
Our End User Licence Agreement requires you to hold the rights or the permission for anything you use the software on. Using it to infringe someone else's copyright, or to breach a service's terms of use, is a breach of that agreement.
What we can and cannot do
We do not host, store, index or distribute any of the content our users work with. Nothing passes through our servers. We have no record of what any user has saved, and no technical ability to remove it — it is on their own machine.
This means a takedown notice sent to us cannot remove content: we do not have it. A notice about specific content is best sent to whoever is hosting it.
If you are a rights holder
If you believe our software is being promoted or used in a way that infringes your rights, please write to hussainimukhtar323@gmail.com with:
- Who you are and how to reach you
- The work concerned
- What specifically you believe is infringing, with URLs where relevant
- A statement that you believe the use is not authorised
- A statement that the information is accurate, and that you are the rights
holder or authorised to act for them
We will review anything sent to us and respond. Where a specific user has breached our licence agreement, we act on it, including revoking licences.
Repeat infringement
Accounts used to infringe copyright have their licences revoked. We do not refund licences revoked for this reason.
